“Introduction to the seminar theme and the motivation behind”

Tijana Mišković will explain the three conceptual lines in the seminar program, namely belonging, seen through the lenses of LAND/SOIL, ARCHITECTURE, and CITY SPACE. She will use examples of artworks by the following artists, who live in Denmark but are originally from Ex- Yugoslavia: Ismar Čirkinagić, Vladimir Tomić, Amel Ibrahimović, Nenad Milčević, Alen Aligrudić, Ana Pavlović, Damir Avdagić, Suada Demirović, and Nermin Durakovic.

Tijana Mišković (*1982 Croatia / Ex Yugoslavia) is an independent curator holding MA in Art and Theory from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. She is originally from former Yugoslavia but have been living in Denmark since 1992.

 

 

She has collaborated with important contemporary art exhibition venues in Denmark such as Nikolaj Kunsthal, Herning Museum of Contemporary Art, Esbjerg Art Museum and Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art. I have also worked for international events such as U-TURN Quadriennale, Liverpool Biennial/City State, Venice Biennale and Manifesta 8.
Furthermore, she has organized seminars and art publications for institutions that include The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Moesgaard Museum, The National Museum of Denmark and II Museo delle Culture in Lugano. Most of my curatorial activates, including international cultural exchanges, have been supported by The Danish Arts Council.
